Hello Teachers

It’s been since early March 2020 you have been out of the physical classrooms. You are concerned about your babies. Yes, babies everyone. Teachers are the absolute caregivers to the students they teach and they regularly refer to them as their babies . They want the best, yes the absolute best for each child.

Today teachers, you feel like fish out of water; and for good reason. You are uncertain if schools will reopen as scheduled, and if not, much longer waiting periods. Your babies have grown physically since March and you are concerned about their mental, academic, emotional and social well-bring.

Well, the best I can say to you is “hang in there. Continue to be a voice for them. Call them, stroke their egos, let them read to you, let them vent and let them laugh. It helps. “

If school reopens, some would have moved on to the next class. If I know you, you will be walking over to their new class and wish them well. Heck before you do they, they might be the one to run to your desk for a hug anyway. Hug with care. Be sure to wear your masks. In the excitement be sure to stop, sanitize both of you, then hug. The excitement will still be there.

Life comes with challenges yet our challenges teach new processes and modalities from. Give us strength for the next phases of our lives. So embrace them. Change also is good. Encourage it because your babies will rule the world later. Teach them how to overcome challenges and accept the changes we sometimes can’t avoid.

We know you love your babies. There will be some new ones to love this year. Spread the love and continue to teach, in classroom or otherwise. Teachers, thank you. I salute you
